LEGO is kicking off October 2026 with several promotions
October is off to a busy start at LEGO: several major new releases, an exclusive gift with purchase for the new UCS Executor, Astro Bot as an additional free gift, and double LEGO Insiders points on numerous select Star Wars sets.
So if you’re planning to place an order with LEGO anyway, I wouldn’t just blindly add any set to your cart. Take a close look first to see which combination of free gifts and double points is best for you—and, of course, be sure to compare prices with other sellers.
UCS Executor 75457: Even Comes with Two GWPs Right Out of the Box
The biggest topic right now is, of course, the LEGO Star Wars 75457 Super Star Destroyer Executor. The set costs €749.99, consists of 6,130 pieces, and, at 136 cm long, is the longest LEGO Star Wars model to date.
LEGO Insiders have had access since October 1; for everyone else, sales begin on October 4, 2026.
To celebrate the launch , the exclusive LEGO 40897 Darth Vader’s Lightsaber as a free gift. In addition, the general Astro Bot promotion applies to the Executor set, so the LEGO 40899 Astro Bot will be added to your cart.

My Thoughts on the Executor
I actually think the proportions of the new model are quite well done, and the six bounty hunters plus Darth Vader really add a lot of value to the set. The Minifigures, in particular, are of course a major draw for collectors.
But: 750 € is still 750 €. And that’s exactly where I draw the line. If I had to buy a big Star Wars set for that amount today, I’d probably go for the Death Star—especially since you can still play with it even when the kids are older.
When it comes to the Executor, I feel the same way as many other fans: From the outside, it’s impressive and much closer to the real thing than its older UCS predecessor. At the same time, it’s huge, extremely flat, takes up an incredible amount of space, and has practically no real interior. If you already own the Midi-Scale version, you can also get a very good Executor for your shelf for significantly less money.
The characters are strong, and I generally like the visuals—but for me, this is still more of a candidate for a future discount than a day-one purchase. If it eventually goes on sale for 25 to 30 percent off, that changes things entirely.
These major new LEGO releases are also coming out

|---|---|---|
| LEGO Star Wars Super Star Destroyer Executor (75457) | €749.99 | View on LEGO |

| LEGO Ideas Downton Abbey (21373) | €299.99 | View on LEGO |
| LEGO Icons Christmas House (11387) | €109.99 | View on LEGO |
With the LEGO PlayStation 72306 , what I still like most is the nostalgia factor. With the LEGO Ideas Downton Abbey 21373 , I still think the MSRP of €299.99 for 4,711 pieces is surprisingly fair. And the LEGO Icons Christmas House 11387 is probably a must-have for Winter Village collectors anyway.
Astro Bot 40899: Free with a purchase of €150 or more
From October 1 through 7, 2026, the LEGO 40899 Astro Bot as a free gift with purchases of €150 or more, while supplies last.
It’s also worth noting our community tip from yesterday: If you only want Astro Bot, you can currently buy the set directly for €19.99. So you don’t necessarily have to spend €150 at LEGO if you’re only interested in the little Astro Bot.

Double Insider Points on Select LEGO Star Wars Sets
In addition, from October 1 through 7, 2026, you’ll earn double Insiders points on a whole range of select LEGO Star Wars sets. This can be particularly appealing for sets that are rarely discounted by LEGO. For models that are regularly 30 or 40% cheaper in retail stores, however, I would still recommend comparing the regular street price first.

Especially with the SMART Play sets, I’d do the math carefully
Some of the new SMART Play Star Wars sets are also included in the 2x points promotion. That sounds good at first, but with these sets in particular, we’re already seeing some very significant discounts in stores.
That’s why my standard advice applies here as well: Don’t buy LEGO when it’s expensive. Double Insider Points are nice, but a 30% or 40% discount from another Seller can end up being worth significantly more.

My Conclusion
LEGO is kicking off October in a pretty exciting way this time around. Two free gifts with the Executor set, the Astro Bot available starting at €150, double Insider points on numerous Star Wars sets, and several major new releases—it all looks pretty impressive on paper.
For the Executor 75457 , personally, the lightsaber and Astro Bot aren’t enough for me to spend €749.99. The set is simply too expensive and too big for me. But if you want it right away anyway, you’ll at least get the best package LEGO currently has to offer at launch.
As always , for all other sets , I’d weigh the options: Take the GWP and double points if you were planning to buy it anyway—but don’t suddenly buy sets at the MSRP just because of the promotion.
