Today we’re taking a look at a little Halloween polybag that you can actually get as a GWP from LEGO right now: the LEGO Creator 30717 Fun Halloween Skeleton.
The little skeleton consists of just 71 pieces, but still has everything you need for a little Halloween decoration: a pumpkin head, a lantern, and, of course, a skeleton.

A Little Skeleton with a Pumpkin Head
The polybag contains 71 pieces and features a skeleton with a spooky pumpkin head and a lantern in its hand. LEGO lists the model at a price of 3.99 euros.
And for that price, the result turned out really nice.
The upper body is constructed, among other things, from several 1×2 and 1×3 round plates. Transparent elements are used to create some space between the individual ribs.
This actually gives the body a nice skeletal look despite the relatively few parts.
Articulated Arms – Slightly Bulky Legs
The arms work particularly well.
They’re designed to be movable and can be bent just like real arms. This allows you to position the skeleton in different ways and, of course, adjust the lantern accordingly.
The legs and feet, on the other hand, are much stiffer and look a bit clunky. Their range of motion is significantly more limited here.
But for a small display model, that hardly bothers me.
And on top of it all is the real highlight: the orange pumpkin head with its delightfully wicked expression.
Together with the lantern, it really ties this little Halloween figure together nicely.

My Conclusion
I really like the 30717 Fun Halloween Skeleton.
Of course, this isn’t a model that takes half an hour to build. After just a few minutes, the skeleton is already standing right in front of you.
Thanks to its reasonable size, it still works wonderfully as a small Halloween decoration on your desk, on a shelf, or on a dresser.
And as far as I’m concerned, LEGO is welcome to continue with this idea in the coming years.
Maybe a zombie next year, then a ghost, and eventually some other classic Halloween characters—so that every year you can add a new member to your little spooky crew.
That would definitely be something.
