That\u2019s because any buyer who buys the Executor right when it goes on sale will also receive a pretty interesting GWP: <strong>Darth Vader\u2019s lightsaber<\/strong> (set <strong>40897<\/strong> ). <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Let&#8217;s get started!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The New UCS Executor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new <strong>Executor Superstar Destroyer (75457<\/strong> ) consists of a whopping <strong>6,130 pieces<\/strong> and recreates Darth Vader\u2019s personal flagship from <em>*The Empire Strikes Back<\/em> *. <br\/>At <strong>136 cm<\/strong> long, the new Executor is actually the longest LEGO Star Wars model ever made. Of course, it also comes with the typical UCS plaque. <br\/>There\u2019s also a small, standard Star Destroyer in the same scale next to it, which really drives home just how massive the Executor is supposed to be. <br\/>And LEGO has even included a little Easter egg: On top of the mini Star Destroyer sits a tiny <strong>Millennium Falcon on a printed 1&#215;1 round brick<\/strong>. A very small but really cool detail.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Significantly more detail than the old model<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we take a look at the Executor itself, the surface is noticeably smoother and less textured than on the 2011 model.  <br\/>Especially in the middle section, there are an enormous number of small details. The tile was designed so that it can be used in different orientations and, in some cases, overlapped, making the repeating patterns appear as random as possible.   <br\/>LEGO has also put a lot of thought into the actual construction process. Inside is a LEGO framework with Technic arms to which the large outer panels are attached. Inside, the framework is a motley mix of different colors.   <br\/>As long as these colors aren&#8217;t visible on the finished model, it doesn&#8217;t really bother me personally. However, you can already see a few <strong>blue Technic pins<\/strong> in the pictures that will be visible from the outside. We&#8217;ll probably have to wait until the set is built to see just how noticeable this actually is on the finished model.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4504\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.4993006993006992;width:658px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568-768x512.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568-1536x1024.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568-930x620.jpeg 930w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1568.jpeg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No elaborate interior to play with<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone who was hoping for a large playable interior given that it has 6,130 pieces will be disappointed.  <br\/>LEGO clearly describes the Executor as a large UCS display model and makes no mention of a playable interior within the ship itself.  <br\/>Instead, we get the most important interior scene shown separately next to it.  <br\/>And that brings us to one of my favorite parts of the set.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Executor&#8217;s Bridge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next to the massive ship is a small section <strong>of the Executor\u2019s bridge<\/strong>. <br\/>This allows you to recreate one of the most legendary scenes from <em>*The Empire Strikes Back*<\/em>: Darth Vader gathers the bounty hunters to track down Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon. <br\/>And LEGO has actually included all the necessary minifigures for this.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1566.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"575\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1566-1024x575.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1566-1024x575.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1566-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1566-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1566-1536x863.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1566.png 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Included are:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Darth Vader<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boba Fett<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dengar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bossk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IG-88<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4-LOM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zuckuss<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This <strong>marks the first time ever that all six bounty hunters from this scene<\/strong> are included <strong>together in a single LEGO set<\/strong>. <br\/>And some of these figures are really something else.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Darth Vader<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Darth Vader is essentially the well-known modern version that we&#8217;re already familiar with in a similar form from other sets.  <br\/>It features detailed printing and, of course, fits perfectly into the bridge scene shown here.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dengar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first glance, Dengar also looks very similar to his previous versions.  <br\/>It isn&#8217;t exactly the same, though. LEGO itself highlights, among other things, a <strong>redesigned backpack<\/strong>. In addition, various prints on the figure have been updated.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IG-88<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Things get a lot more interesting with IG-88.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bounty hunter finally gets a <strong>redesigned head<\/strong>, rather than being constructed entirely from the classic cylindrical elements again.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Boba Fett<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, Boba Fett has to be there.  <br\/>The figure is largely based on familiar elements, but here it is once again equipped with its characteristic gear, including a shoulder cloth and pauldrons. The estimated 15 to 16 hours is therefore just an estimate and can, of course, vary significantly depending on your building speed. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comparison with the old UCS Super Star Destroyer 10221<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, the new Executor isn\u2019t the first major UCS version of this ship. <br\/>The <strong>LEGO Star Wars 10221 Super Star Destroyer<\/strong> was released back <strong>in 2011<\/strong>. <br\/>And that one was also an absolute monster back then. <br\/>The old model consisted of <strong>3<\/strong> <strong>,<\/strong> <strong>152 pieces<\/strong>, included five minifigures, and originally cost <strong>399.99 euros<\/strong>. The old Executor was about 34 to 35 cm wide, while the new model measures a full 50 cm. <br\/>The new model has also gained a fair amount of weight: instead of about 3.5 kg, the new Executor weighs <strong>more than five kilograms<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, the price is similar. <br\/>It goes from 399.99 euros up to 749.99 euros\u2014a whopping <strong>350 euros more<\/strong>. <br\/>Interestingly, the price per piece is hardly any different. Executor at a glance, and in terms of design, I definitely think the new model has taken another big leap forward compared to the 2011 version.  <br\/>The proportions look better, the surface is much more detailed, and I especially like how LEGO breaks up the vast surface a bit with the new printed elements and the small light blue or bluish details.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The old model, on the other hand, was quite a massive gray hulk. <br\/>Of course, with a <strong>spaceship that\u2019s 136 cm long and 50 cm wide<\/strong>, a completely different question arises: <strong>Who even has the space to display something like that?<\/strong> <br\/>But that, of course, is a fundamental problem with such huge UCS models.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_1565.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" for its time. For me, the main reason for a re-release is actually that the old set has since become so valuable to collectors that it\u2019s practically impossible to buy it at a reasonable price anymore.   <br\/>And of course, the new model is significantly cheaper, at least at first.  <br\/>But that&#8217;s only when compared to the current collector&#8217;s price of the old set.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After all, with a <strong>MSRP of 749.99 euros<\/strong>, you still have to shell out a hefty sum of money.
