In addition to the eye-catching pizza sign, there’s a pizza oven and small details like a pizza box. Collectors will be particularly interested to know that the Minifigure is part of the Restaurant series and that this set is the fourth installment in this year’s country series.

Previously, restaurants from Japan (40906), Mexico (40907), and Greece (40908) were released. If you display these small buildings together, you can complete your set with the Italian one.

Starting October 13: How do you get the set?

According to the promotional information released so far, the pizzeria will be available as a free gift with purchases at the LEGO Shop starting October 13, while supplies last. The estimated minimum order amount is 180 euros. You should check the exact promotion period and the German terms and conditions again in your shopping cart when the promotion begins: There are conflicting reports regarding the end date.

This is important because a GWP isn’t an automatic discount. If you already have a larger set on your Wishlist, it makes sense to take the free gift. However, I wouldn’t recommend spending an extra 180 euros just for the small restaurant.

Collectible or Investment?

The “Restaurants of the World” set has a certain appeal for collectors: four matching models, each featuring a design typical of its country and a Minifigure. However, it’s impossible to say for certain whether the pizzeria will increase in value over time. The key factors are demand, the number of sets available, and the future secondary market.

If you’d like to follow the progress, you can use the use the Brick-Tracker, which features Price Comparisons, a Wishlist, and live deals . To get a sense of other models being phased out, you can also check out the LEGO Market Analysis is also helpful.

My Conclusion

The Italian pizzeria is a nice little collectible set and will certainly appeal to fans of the restaurant-themed gifts offered so far. However, I’d recommend taking advantage of this promotion especially if you’re planning to make a purchase anyway. On October 13, it’s worth checking the actual terms of the promotion.

The fourth free restaurant giveaway has been announced: a small Italian pizzeria with a chef Minifigure.
