Fans can now submit their own designs that combine characters, vehicles, or scenes from both universes. <\/p>\n<h2>Three Categories for the Star Wars and Marvel Crossover<\/h2>\n<p>For the new LEGO Ideas Challenge, there are three theme categories to choose from: <strong>vehicles, characters, or scenes<\/strong>. The task is to combine well-known elements from Star Wars and Marvel into a new, combined model. <\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s particularly exciting is that this isn&#8217;t just a creative community initiative. LEGO has explicitly announced that selected favorites will become <strong>official LEGO products<\/strong> after the voting concludes. <\/p>\n<h2>Why this is special for LEGO fans<\/h2>\n<p>LEGO is bringing together two of its biggest licensed universes for the first time in a LEGO Ideas challenge. That alone is sure to attract a lot of attention, since Star Wars and Marvel each have a very large collector and fan base. <\/p>\n<p>The campaign also ties in with the upcoming <strong>Star Wars\/Marvel<\/strong> comic crossover <strong>, *Hope Assembles<\/strong> *. This project was announced in celebration of the 50th anniversary of *Star Wars* in 2027 and is set to launch in January. <\/p>\n<h2>Voting begins in December<\/h2>\n<p>The challenge is already open. Voting on the submitted models is scheduled to begin on <strong>December 8, 2026<\/strong>. The selection of the grand prize winners is scheduled for next year.  <\/p>\n<p>This means we\u2019re likely to see some unusual designs in the coming weeks. Especially with two such well-known themed worlds, it wouldn\u2019t be surprising if certain ideas quickly garnered a lot of attention within the community. <\/p>\n<h2>What kind of official set could result from this?<\/h2>\n<p>That is exactly what remains to be seen at this point. LEGO is deliberately not naming any finished models or specific set numbers.
