The manufacturer\u2019s suggested retail price is 249.99 euros. That works out to <strong>a 40% discount<\/strong> \u2014and that\u2019s exactly the kind of deal that makes me take a closer look at LEGO Technic sets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;margin:12px auto 20px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/preisvergleich.php?set=42177\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/img_text\/42177n.webp\" alt=\"LEGO Technic Mercedes-Benz G 500 Professional Line \u2013 Product Image\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"display:block;width:50%;max-width:290px;height:auto;margin:0 auto\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s behind this deal?<\/h2>\n<p>The off-road vehicle, set number <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/preisvergleich.php?set=42177\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">42177<\/a>, consists of 2,891 pieces. It features working steering, suspension, a replica inline-six engine, a three-speed transmission, and differential locks. For Technic fans, this isn\u2019t just a small side project\u2014it\u2019s a full-fledged model.<\/p>\n<p>As of the check on <strong>October 21, 2026<\/strong>, Smyths lists the item as in stock for 149.99 euros and offers free standard shipping. Prices and stock levels are, of course, subject to change at any time.<\/p>\n<h2>Is 149.99 euros already the best price?<\/h2>\n<p>No\u2014and I think that\u2019s important. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brick-tracker.de\/preisvergleich.php?set=42177\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brick-Tracker Price Comparison<\/a> shows that the model reached a historical best price of around <strong>134 euros in November 2025<\/strong>. So 149.99 euros is a very decent current sale price, but <strong>not a new all-time low<\/strong>. That\u2019s exactly why, before making a major purchase, I don\u2019t just look at the percentage off in the retailer\u2019s banner, but always check the Price History as well.<\/p>\n<h2>Why is this set interesting for LEGO investors?<\/h2>\n<p>Brick-Tracker currently lists the Mercedes with an <strong>estimated EOL date of 2026<\/strong>. This is a forecast and not an EOL date guaranteed by LEGO. If the model does indeed disappear at the end of the year, buying it at a 40% discount could be a great deal\u2014especially if you plan to resell the set later.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I prefer to wait until discounts reach about 35 to 38 percent\u2014or better\u2014before buying in larger quantities. At 40 percent, the Mercedes clears this first hurdle. But the discount alone doesn\u2019t make for a good investment purchase: the key factors are demand, competing offers, potential successor models, and the question of how much capital and storage space I\u2019m tying up. A large Technic box also incurs different shipping costs than a small Battle Pack.<\/p>\n<h2>My conclusion: For me, this is an absolutely top-notch set<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Personally, I see the LEGO Technic Mercedes G 500 as a really solid Investment.<\/strong> I find it particularly exciting that, this late in the year\u2014just before its expected EOL in 2026\u2014we\u2019re getting another 40% discount. For me, this is an absolute must-have set. I\u2019ve already placed an order for a few sets myself and have the Mercedes in my own inventory. Given this deal, I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend snapping it up while the price and availability are right. Of course, future value appreciation remains to be seen; the EOL classification is a forecast, not a guarantee.<\/p>\n<h2>Why isn&#8217;t Smyths Toys listed on Brick-Tracker?<\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s one thing in particular that bothers me about this great deal: <strong>Unfortunately, Smyths Toys isn\u2019t yet integrated into Brick-Tracker as a Seller.<\/strong> I\u2019ve already tried to get in touch with Smyths to set up a partnership or a technical integration. So far, that hasn\u2019t worked out.
