Anyone who pre-ordered a set from the BrickLink Designer Program Series 8 in June should take a quick look at their order details now. BrickLink has announced that the five models have arrived at its facility in California. According to the latest report, shipping is imminent—though a specific date for each German order has not yet been confirmed.
Which five models are included?
These five models are part of the eighth round of the BrickLink Designer Program. I find it particularly exciting how varied the designs are: from a locomotive to a university to a hot-air balloon.

The euro prices listed are from the crowdfunding campaign. This is not a new ordering phase: Pre-orders for Series 8 have already closed. The focus now is on ensuring that the sets actually reach the buyers.
Why I would check the payment information now
With the BrickLink Designer Program, there are several months between pre-ordering and shipping. During that time, a credit card might expire, the bank might decline a payment, or the shipping address might change. It’s exactly these little things that are frustrating when you’ve been waiting months for a limited-edition set.
BrickLink therefore recommends checking your saved payment method and shipping address. If anything has changed, you should contact support as soon as possible. You will then receive a shipping confirmation via email as soon as your order is on its way.
And what about Series 9?
The ninth crowdfunding round has now also come to an end. These are two separate processes: Series 8 is about to be shipped, while the Series 9 sets still need to be produced. Anyone looking for new sets on BrickLink right now should be careful not to confuse these dates.
My Assessment for Collectors
I find the Designer Program exciting because the sets aren’t just permanently available in regular stores. But that doesn’t mean every set is automatically a good Investment. Only once the sets have actually been shipped can you see how supply and demand are developing on the secondary market.
For an overview, check out the official Series 8 page on BrickLink. And if you want to keep track of your purchases and future resale prices, you can use the Brick-Tracker Investment Tool. You can find more Deals in the Brick-Tracker app.
As of October 18, 2026. The upcoming shipment was reported on October 16; we do not have a confirmed delivery date for Germany.
