LEGO Icons 11381 Jaguar E-Type Officially Unveiled
The LEGO Icons 11381 Jaguar E-Type, another classic in the extensive LEGO vehicle line, will be released on August 1, 2026. The set consists of 1,673 pieces, is aimed at adults, and has an official price of 139.99 euros.
And I’ll say it straight out: I’m definitely on the “pro” side here. To me, the Jaguar looks really, really impressive. Especially with a license like Jaguar, I honestly would have expected it to cost at least 179 or 189 euros. I think it’s really impressive that LEGO has priced it at 139.99 euros and that initial prices are already popping up around 104 euros.

Beautiful lines, bold colors, lots of details
As a real car, the Jaguar E-Type is, of course, a challenging model to recreate. That long hood, the curved fenders, and the flowing side profile aren’t easy to capture with LEGO bricks.
Still, I think LEGO did a lot of things right here. The dark green color is a perfect match for this British classic. The car’s lines come across well, the proportions seem just right to me, and the model has exactly that elegant classic-car charm I look for in a Jaguar.
It also comes with some great features: the doors, hood, and trunk can be opened. The fabric convertible top can be folded back, the interior features a detailed cockpit, and under the hood is a replica inline-six-cylinder engine.
No Sticker Disaster
Another plus: As things stand now, the set apparently doesn’t require a ton of stickers. The logos, license plate, and lettering appear to be printed on. That’s exactly how an Icons vehicle for adults should look.
The number of pieces is also impressive. 1,673 pieces for 139.99 euros is a surprisingly good value in the LEGO Icons vehicle line. If the set does indeed become widely available on the open market later on, its price could be very attractive.
What Isn’t Perfect
Of course, the Jaguar isn’t entirely without flaws. The front end is probably the part that will bother most people. The headlights, in particular, are extremely important to the look of the real E-Type. LEGO didn’t get them quite right.
The curved shape of the original has also become a bit more angular in some places. But that’s somewhat unavoidable with LEGO. Anyone expecting a perfect replica of a model car will likely find something closer to the original from Mattel or classic model car manufacturers.
But: Overall, I think the design of this LEGO Icons vehicle is absolutely fantastic.
My purchase price
I don’t have to jump on it right away at the MSRP, even though I think the price is fair. But at around 104 euros, it’s already looking really good.
Precisely because the set doesn’t seem overpriced, it could turn out to be exciting in the long run. A beautiful licensed car, a bold color, a well-known design, and a fair entry-level price—that’s a great combination.
But I also know from experience that some licensed LEGO cars don’t work at all. Everyone just has to decide for themselves.
My Conclusion
I really like the LEGO Icons 11381 Jaguar E-Type. The front isn’t perfect, but the overall look definitely wins me over. The color, lines, features, and price make this set one of the most exciting Icons vehicles to come out recently, in my opinion.
If the Jaguar becomes available on the open market and the price drops a bit more, it will most likely end up on my shopping list.
