Smyths Toys is offering a 20 percent discount on rare LEGO sets

From September 22 to 28, 2026, Smyths Toys is running a promotion offering selected rare LEGO sets at a 20 percent discount. And there are actually a few sets in the lineup that I’d at least take a closer look at.

Especially with more exclusive or retiring sets, 20 percent isn’t quite my usual “I have to buy this now” threshold, but for sets that are rarely marked down significantly, it can still be an attractive deal.

I find these sets particularly exciting

As for LEGO Star Wars, one of the items I’d like to see is the 75429 AT-AT Pilot Helmet . I’d also take a look at the smaller 75356 Super Star Destroyer Executor is one of the rarer sets and is currently on sale at a lower price.

At Marvel, the 76269 Avengers Tower is, of course, one of the major highlights. The regular MSRP is 499.99 euros, but as part of the promotion, it’s priced at 399.99 euros.

In the LEGO Icons line, I find this 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship is interesting. Instead of 349.99 euros, the set is currently priced at 279.99 euros.

And then there’s also Harry Potter 71043 Hogwarts Castle. It feels like this set has been available for ages, but it’s still one of those models where a 20 percent discount is at least worth a look.

Too bad: Smyths is still not listed on Brick-Tracker

What always annoys me a bit about these kinds of promotions is that Smyths Toys isn’t currently integrated into Brick-Tracker. We’ve tried several times to set up a proper data connection here, but so far there doesn’t seem to be any interest in integrating it into the Price Comparison tool.

I can well imagine that Smyths would prefer to direct its customers straight to its own catalog and website. That makes sense from the retailer’s perspective, but unfortunately, for you, it means you’ll still have to check Smyths separately for now.

Brick-Tracker Is Almost Back to Normal After the Server Move

Other than that, here’s a quick update on Brick-Tracker: After the major server and database migration, almost everything is back up and running now. We’re currently working through the minor bugs that cropped up as a result of the switch, one by one.

At the same time, I’m currently expanding the database significantly. We’re adding LEGO sets all the way back to the year 2000. This means that, little by little, about 8,500 sets are being added to the database—including many older sets and GWPs that were previously missing.

This is especially important for the collection and Investment Tool. The more complete the database becomes, the better you can track your own collection, past purchases, and investments in Brick-Tracker.

My Conclusion

The Smyths sale isn’t a “buy everything” sale. But especially when it comes to rare sets, large models, and EOL items, I’d definitely take a look from September 22 through 28.

And as always: Only buy it if the price is right for you. For sets that are widely available, I’d recommend comparing prices further beforehand—but for the rare Smyths sets, you’ll unfortunately have to check the retailer’s website directly this time.
