LEGO has officiallyunveiled two brand-new sets based on thepopular Netflix series *Wednesday*. The set includes a decorative backpack with a handy storage feature, as well as a highly detailed display model of Nevermore Academy. Let’s take a closer look at both of these new releases.
We’ll start with the smaller of the two sets: 76787 Wednesday’s Backpack.
As the name suggests, this set recreates Wednesday’s black backpack from Nevermore Academy. To go with it, the set includes a Wednesday Addams mini-doll, her black cello, a small version of the backpack, and, of course, the famous ice-cold little hand (Thing).
The backpack itself can be customized. On the left side, dark vines wind their way upward, giving the model that signature Wednesday look.
The hidden features are particularly well-designed: When you open the upper rear section, Wednesday’s room from Nevermore Academy is revealed. The lower compartment, on the other hand, features a small storage compartment that’s ideal for jewelry, bracelets, hair ties, or other small accessories. There’s also space to store Polaroid photos or small mementos.

The second set featured is called 76788 Nevermore Academy.
This is a high-quality micro-scale display model of the famous school from the Netflix series. Unlike previous *Wednesday* sets, LEGO isn’t relying exclusively on mini-dolls this time; instead, the set also includes a standard *Wednesday* minifigurewearing her black school uniform.
In terms of design, the castle is reminiscent of the well-known Disney micro-models, such as Cinderella’s Castle or other major Disney buildings. This time, however, the focus is on the dark world of Wednesday rather than Disney.
Viewed from the front, Nevermore Academy looks like a richly detailed castle with numerous windows, towers, and small decorative elements. One particularly nice touch is that you can already make out Wednesday and Enid’s room from the outside.
The back is open, offering a view of various interior spaces at the academy, including the entrance hall and Wednesday and Enid’s shared room.
In addition to the large Minifigure, the set also includes two microfigures of Wednesday and Enid, which can be placed in front of the building. When they’re not in use, they can be safely stored in a small drawer beneath the base.

My Conclusion
I was surprised by the release of these two sets. The Wednesday series has flown somewhat under my radar, but it still seems to be quite popular. Some of the previous sets went EOL last year and are already seeing their prices rise, which shows that the series has its own fan base.
Once again, my personal highlight is the many interesting pieces. What I especially like about the backpack is the black cello, the ice-cold little hand, and the various printed elements.
Nevermore Academy, on the other hand, really stands out for its architecture. The Minifigures are a nice addition, and the numerous gray bricks as well as the printed elements—especially around the clock tower—make the set appealing to brick enthusiasts as well. And, of course, the Wednesday minifigure is an absolute highlight.
Price-wise, both sets fall somewhere between “still okay” and “a little too expensive” for me . However, I expect they might become available at attractive discounts after a few months. The release in early October was likely chosen deliberately, as the *Wednesday* series traditionally experiences a significant surge in popularity around Halloween.
