LEGO Star Wars 75451: Is Embo the Real Reason to Buy It?

With the LEGO Star Wars 75451 Battle with the Security Droid at the Hutt Palace, another set based on the upcoming movie The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released in August 2026. And honestly, at first glance, the set looks pretty wild.

A security droid, a small section of the Hutt Palace, Mando, Grogu, Embo, and a new wolf creature. It sounds like a classic playset, but for me, the real appeal lies elsewhere: with Embo and Keibu.

The set has a recommended retail price of €49.99, contains 415 pieces, includes 3 minifigures, and will be released on August 1, 2026. The price is not completely unreasonable, but it is still not an automatic purchase for me.

Embo Is Back – and That Makes the Set Interesting

For me, the most important point is obvious: Embo is back in a LEGO Star Wars set. Especially with small and medium-sized Star Wars sets, the minifigures are often the main reason why a set remains interesting later on.

Mando and Grogu are of course nice additions, but both characters have appeared in several sets by now. Embo is considerably more exciting. For bounty hunter fans, Clone Wars fans, and minifigure collectors, that immediately gives the set a different kind of appeal.

The set also introduces Keibu, a new wolf creature. New animals, creatures, and specially molded elements are always interesting in LEGO Star Wars because they cannot simply be replaced with standard pieces. These are exactly the kinds of elements that can make a set more collectible later on.

The Security Droid Looks Wild – but at Least It Is Something Different

The security droid itself is a matter of personal taste for me. I find it interesting because it does not look like the usual gray Star Wars construction. The set is more colorful and, at first glance, almost looks a little unusual for LEGO Star Wars.

That can be seen as either positive or negative. Positive because it helps the set stand out. Negative because not everyone will immediately say, “Yes, that is exactly what I imagine Star Wars to look like.”

I believe the droid’s role in the movie will be crucial here. If it gets a cool scene in the film, the set could attract considerably more attention. If it only appears briefly, Embo and Keibu will probably end up being the main focus.

• Its relevance depends heavily on how important the scene is in the movie

Buy or Wait?

At the recommended retail price of €49.99, I would not buy the set blindly. Too much depends on individual characters and on how well the droid ultimately works in the movie.

My rough assessment:

At RRP: only for Embo fans or dedicated collectors of the movie sets.
Below €45: gradually becomes more interesting.
Below €40: a good price range.
Around €35: that is when the set becomes really interesting for minifigure and creature collectors.

Since the set is likely to be available from several retailers, I would expect discounts more than I would with highly exclusive Star Wars sets. Therefore: do not buy blindly, and keep an eye on the price.

Investment Potential?

If this set becomes interesting later on, I do not think it will be because of the droid alone, but because of Embo and the new creature. These are exactly the kinds of minifigures and molded elements that can make a difference in the long term.

Of course, it is important to remain cautious. If the set is widely available and frequently discounted, a lot of stock will also enter the market. That does not automatically make it rare.

However, with a good discount, this is a set worth watching in my opinion. Do not stockpile it at RRP, but at the right price, it could certainly be worth considering.

My Verdict on LEGO Star Wars 75451

The LEGO Star Wars 75451 Battle with the Security Droid at the Hutt Palace is not a set that immediately wins me over because of the main model. The droid is interesting, but also a little unusual.

For me, the real reasons to buy it are clearly Embo and Keibu. This combination is exactly what makes the set more interesting for collectors than it may initially appear.

My brief opinion:

Minifigures: Embo is clearly the main reason to buy the set.
Creature: Keibu makes the set even more interesting.
Model: something different, but a matter of taste.
Price: acceptable at RRP, but not a must-buy.
Discount: it becomes interesting below €40.
My assessment: not an automatic purchase, but an interesting minifigure-focused set with a discount.

Anyone who has been waiting a long time for Embo to return as a LEGO minifigure or who collects new Star Wars creatures should put the set on their watchlist. As always, however, I would first check the price history on Brick-Tracker.
