LEGO EDEKA Loyalty Promotion: The FunPacks are running out—which ones are still available?

Hi there!

It feels like it was just September, and now it’s already October. That means the current LEGO EDEKA FunPack loyalty promotion has just under two weeks left and is slowly coming to an end.

I’ve been traveling around the greater Hamburg area over the past few days and took a moment at various EDEKA stores to see which FunPacks were still sitting around in large quantities and which ones had already completely disappeared.
Of course, this isn’t a Germany-wide statistic, but simply my own observation based on several stores. Still, I found the results quite surprising in some cases.

And then, of course , there’s still one interesting question: What actually happens to the FunPacks that are left over after the promotion?

Let’s get started!

My biggest surprise pick is actually the LEGO City Wheel Loader. It was already completely sold out at several stores I checked.
To be honest, I really didn’t expect that.

The situation is similar with the LEGO NINJAGO Kai Racing Motorcycle. In some of the stores I visited, there were no longer any of these left at all. Next came the LEGO City Police ATV and the Creator 3-in-1 Race Car. Depending on the store, these were either sold out as well or only available in very small quantities.

On the other hand, I was a little surprised by the Creator 3-in-1 Kakadu.
There were still a surprisingly large number of these sets lying around, even though, for me personally, it’s one of the best models in the entire promotion.

The same goes for Lloyd’s little NINJAGO mech. I actually would have expected these two, in particular, to sell out faster. Especially the Kakadu—in terms of design and value for the money, it remains one of the highlights of the entire FunPack series for me.

LEGO Friends is the set that’s left lying around the most

What doesn’t surprise me at all, though, is that the two LEGO Friends FunPacks were still the most commonly available items in the stores. And to be honest, I can actually understand why.

As I already mentioned in my review, the two Friends sets were, by far, the weakest of the eight FunPacks in my opinion. Few pieces, very simple models, and—for 5.99 euros—the worst value for the money in the promotion, in my view. So it doesn’t surprise me at all that these are the ones that end up sitting on the shelf the longest.

What happens to the remaining FunPacks?

And that brings us to what is probably the most exciting question: What happens to all the leftover FunPacks once the promotion ends?

There probably isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer to that. From past loyalty campaigns, I know of various options.

In some cases, remaining stock is returned or handled through the respective promotional partners. Blue Ocean is participating in the promotion for the LEGO FunPacks—though we don’t know what actually happens to any potential returns afterward.

Other stores keep their remaining inventory. I’ve noticed, especially during past Schleich loyalty promotions, that leftover items were initially sold at the promotional price and later, in some cases, marked down significantly again.
Other stores, on the other hand, have used their remaining inventory for raffles, their own promotions, or donations.
Ultimately, this is likely to depend quite heavily on the specific store or region.

So: Keep your eyes open!

And that’s exactly where we need your help.
If, after the promotion ends, you notice that LEGO FunPacks are suddenly on sale at your EDEKA, please let us know.
You can contact us through our social media channels or, of course, right here on the blog.

If several stores start selling off their remaining stock at lower prices, I’ll of course let you know right away here. Because at just 2.99 or 3.99 euros, some of the FunPacks could become really appealing again.

My Conclusion

Overall, I found the EDEKA LEGO FunPack promotion pretty exciting.
Not every model was a standout, and I would have liked to see much more variety, especially in the included game.
Still, the idea of the eight different cans was pretty cool, and I’d definitely be happy if we had a similar promotion again in the future.
But what I find particularly interesting right now is what happens to the remaining inventory after the official end.
Maybe there are still a few bargains waiting for us there.

Now it’s your turn: Which FunPacks sold out the fastest for you?
Which ones do you still have plenty of lying around, and what was your personal highlight of the entire promotion?

Feel free to write anything in the comments!
