Free LEGO Gift in Store: Halloween Treasure Hunt in October
And here’s another little LEGO promotion that I think is pretty nice for families: From October 24 to 28, 2026, there will be a Halloween scavenger hunt at participating LEGO Stores.
The task is simple: Pumpkins are hidden in the store. If you find them all, you can claim a gift —while supplies last, of course.
LEGO hasn’t revealed exactly what surprise will be handed out at the end. That’s why I wouldn’t even begin to speculate here. For me, the real appeal is the combination of a small in-store promotion and a free extra for the kids anyway.
October 24–28 – Hours vary by store
LEGO has set the promotion period from October 24 to October 28, 2026. However, it’s important to note that the date and time may vary by store. LEGO therefore recommends checking directly with the store in question.
If you happen to have a LEGO Store nearby or are traveling during fall break, I’d recommend checking the store’s website or calling ahead. As is always the case with free promotions, once the supply runs out, it’s gone for good.

For me, this is exactly the right kind of store promotion
To be honest, I find promotions like this much more appealing than any kind of artificial pressure to buy. You don’t have to fill up a specific shopping cart first; instead, you can go to the store with the kids, look for pumpkins, and—if all goes well—even pick up a little gift while you’re at it.
Personally, I wouldn’t go out of my way to drive several hours just for that, of course. But if there’s a LEGO Store nearby anyway, it’s a great way to combine it with a stroll through town or a family outing.
Halloween is already pretty prominent at LEGO this year anyway
In keeping with the season, LEGO currently has several Halloween-themed items available—from the Glowing Ghost and the Spooky Tree to seasonal sets and small promotions. If you’re planning to buy something anyway, you should still compare prices beforehand and avoid ordering at the MSRP just because of a freebie.

My Conclusion
It’s not a huge event, but it’s exactly the kind of small, free activity that’s easy to take part in: hunt for pumpkins, get a gift, and soak up a little Halloween spirit at the LEGO Store.
If you happen to be passing by a participating store between October 24 and 28 anyway, I’d definitely take advantage of the promotion.
