Free LEGO Gaming Controllers on September 17 and 18
The next free LEGO Store promotion has already been announced: On September 17 and 18, 2026, you can build a small LEGO gaming controller at participating LEGO Stores and then take it home for free.
The promotion will run from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Here’s how the promotion works
As with the other Make-&-Take events, the same rule applies here: Quantities are limited. First come, first served.
- September 17, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- September 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- one gaming controller per person
- While supplies last
- Intended for children ages 7 and up
- This model is not regularly available for sale
This is, of course, a nice little promotion, especially for kids who love LEGO and video games. The model is compact and is built right there in the store.
No purchase necessary
What I find most interesting about these promotions is that you don’t have to buy anything to participate. You just come to the store, build the model, and then you can take it home with you.
I wouldn’t plan a long trip just for this. But if you have a LEGO Store nearby or are passing by one anyway, it’s definitely worth picking up.
According to LEGO, the model is not for sale. So if you want the little controller, you’ll actually have to attend one of the two events.
