This is the second part of our review of the LEGO Minifigures Series 29 (71052).

The Minifigures series was released on May 1, 2026, with a MSRP of 3.99 euros per figure, and includes a total of twelve different collectible characters.
Today we’ll take a closer look at figures 7 through 12, and of course, I’ll wrap things up with my full review of the entire series.
Let’s get started!
7. Chocolatière
Next up is the chocolatier.
The figure is wearing a brown chef’s apron with the name of her chocolate shop printed on it. Underneath, you can see her classic work clothes, and she’s wearing a matching white chef’s hat.
LEGO has also put a lot of thought into the facial expressions. One face shows her focused on her work, while in the second one she looks much happier.
But for me, the real highlight of the figure is definitely the accessories.
She gets a small piping bag set for chocolate, as well as a completely brown chocolate dragon that can be displayed on a small pedestal. That dragon in particular is a really cool piece to me, and it can certainly be put to good use even outside of the figure set.
In general, the Chocolatière isn’t exactly a figure that immediately stands out at first glance, but I think she’s actually quite well done, especially because of the chocolate dragon and the little accessories.
8. Tuba player
Figure number eight is the tuba player.
The tuba player wears a classic musician’s uniform with red pants, a white jacket, and gold shoulder accents. The figure’s arms and sides also feature additional details, and the printed designs extend seamlessly across the entire outfit.
The absolute highlight is, of course, his large golden tuba.
Unlike many other characters in the series, the tuba player has only one facial expression. You see him right in the middle of playing his instrument, and you can even see a tiny bead of sweat rolling down his face.
I actually really like that because it immediately gives the character some personality.
A sturdy figure that would certainly come in handy, especially for a LEGO City set, an orchestra, or an entire marching band.
9. Soccer Goalkeeper
Just in time for the 2026 World Cup, our ninth figure is a soccer goalkeeper.
Of course, a soccer ball is included as an accessory. His jersey is a striking light green or turquoise, and he wears bright pink soccer cleats.
Both his shorts and the back of his jersey feature the goalkeeper’s signature number 1.
He comes with two facial expressions: a friendly smile and a much more strained look, perfect for the heat of the game.
Interestingly, he’s actually the first classic goalkeeper in the regular Collectable Minifigures series.
Overall, it’s a solid figure, though personally, it’s not exactly one of my favorites.
10. Cute Witch
Let’s move on to another one of my favorite characters: the Cute Witch.
She comes with a wand and a little gray cat as accessories.
I especially love the combination of her purple witch’s hat and her light blue hair. Once again, LEGO has created a truly beautiful molded piece.
She has two different facial expressions: one is a friendly smile, and the other is a winking expression.
Her torso features a purple outfit with a large pink bow. She also wears a purple skirt with blue stars, and even on her legs—or rather, her shoes—we can see small white cat motifs.
The entire design reminds me quite a bit of a magical girl anime—or rather, of that kind of anime cosplay.
And that’s probably exactly why I like this character so much.
11. The Mysterious Ronin
The second-to-last figure is the Mysterious Ronin.
Here, too, we get another great combined headpiece with a black hood and blond hair peeking out from underneath.
The rest of the figure is appropriately colored in green, black, and brown and features really nice arm prints.
Ronin comes with two shurikens as accessories, and he also carries a golden katana on his back.
His striking green eyes are visible beneath his mask, and he has two different facial expressions.
And let’s be honest: The figure really does look as if it got a little lost on its way to the next Ninjago wave and accidentally ended up in Minifigures Series 29.
But that’s exactly why I like it so much.
12. Unicorn Fairy
And last but not least, we have the Unicorn Fairy.
She has long golden hair, a tiara, and two facial expressions—one with her eyes open and one with her eyes closed.
Her accessories include a small unicorn and a transparent crystal goblet.
Her outfit features various shades of light and dark green and is adorned with numerous leaf patterns. The printed top flows beautifully into the skirt, and the details continue seamlessly on the back as well.
A really beautiful fantasy character and, in my opinion, a fitting conclusion to the entire series.

My verdict – Hit or Miss?
I was really looking forward to this Minifigures series as soon as the first pictures were released.
And I actually knew pretty quickly which figures I absolutely wanted to have and which ones would be my absolute favorites.
At the top of my list is the Monster Hunter. Not only because I absolutely love the old Monster Fighters theme line, but also because the details on this figure are just really well done. There’s something to discover from every angle—front, back, and the sides.
Another highlight for me is definitely the Trash Monster. Here, too, we get tons of really cool prints from all sides, and the figure is just perfect for Halloween. Especially when paired with the Monster Hunter, both work wonderfully in Halloween builds or MOCs.
And I really like the Cute Witch, too. I’m an anime fan, and her entire outfit really reminds me of a magical girl—or rather, a magical girl cosplay. I really like it.
Of course, I also like the Mysterious Ronin, although you can clearly see that he’s a bit out of place and could actually be from the Ninjago universe.
The Bionicle Cosplayer is, of course, a really nice throwback for longtime LEGO fans.
And that’s exactly what I find interesting about this series in general.
In the past, LEGO has repeatedly revisited old themes or included small nods to them through its Minifigures series. Maybe these figures will simply remain lovely tributes—but maybe someday we’ll actually see more along the lines of Monster Fighters or Bionicle again.
I’d definitely be up for it.
Overall, I’m really excited about Minifigures Series 29. It’s diverse, well-rounded, and features some really great characters.
There are a few characters, though, that don’t quite work for me.
For example, the T.Rex robot and the soccer goalkeeper don’t really excite me. And even though the marine biologist is beautifully designed and the clownfish turned out really cute, we’ve simply seen similar diver figures many times before.
Personally, I would have preferred to see a completely new idea.
Even so, I’m giving the LEGO Minifigures Series 29 a solid 9 out of 10.
And I’m even happier that I now own the entire series—three times over. A few weeks ago, I managed to snag a whole box of 36 for just 75 euros.
