Earlier this week, LEGO officially announced its brand-new collaboration with Olivia Rodrigo and unveiled five new sets. This naturally raises an exciting question for many fans: Was Olivia Rodrigo just a one-time collaboration, or does LEGO plan to team up with other well-known musicians in the future?
That’s exactly the topic we’re going to take a closer look at today.
Where is LEGO Editions headed?
Let’s start by taking a look at the new LEGO Editions series.
Various models related to Formula 1 andthe current World Cup have already been released as part of this series. Olivia Rodrigo is now the first musician—or rather, the first musical collaboration—in this new themed series.
This naturally opens up a lot of potential. In addition to other sporting events, other artists could also have their own LEGO sets in the future.
But who would be realistic, anyway?
If you look at the world’s most successful musicians, I don’t think popularity alone is enough. On the one hand, the artists need to be internationally known; on the other hand, they also need to be a good fit for the LEGO brand. Lyrics or public appearances that make strong references to drugs or other controversial topics would likely make a collaboration unlikely.
However, I do think some of the names are quite realistic.
Taylor Swift
Let’s start with what is probably the most obvious candidate. Taylor Swift has been one of the world’s most successful female artists for years. The so-called “Swifties” are among the largest and most active fan bases out there.
A collaboration with LEGO would therefore make perfect sense.
For example, I could imagine small display models based on her various albums. Possible options might include a buildable Polaroid camera, her famous cats, or other items directly related to her career. Of course, a Taylor Swift Minifigure would be a must-have.
Precisely because of her enormous international reach, I believe a collaboration would be a logical step. At the same time, however, she is likely one of the most expensive artists when it comes to licensing rights.
Bruno Mars
Another artist I could definitely see performing is Bruno Mars.
His music has been among the most successful pop songs worldwide for many years. Many of his songs are still played regularly on the radio today and appeal to a very broad audience.
In my opinion, his colorful stage design and performances would also be perfect for smaller LEGO display sets. Perhaps to coincide with an upcoming album or a future tour.
BLACKPINK
If you look a little further toward Asia, BLACKPINKimmediately comes to mind.
The K-pop group is one of the most successful artists in the world and will celebrate its big comeback in 2026.
Especially since LEGO isalready collaboratingwith K-Pop Demon Hunters, I could definitely imagine LEGO partnering with real-life K-pop artists in the future.
Ed Sheeran
I also think Ed Sheeran is a very realistic candidate.
His music is internationally successful and appeals to nearly all age groups. Especially around a new tour or an upcoming album, themed LEGO sets could work really well.
On top of that, Ed Sheeran already has a small connection to LEGO. A while back, he visited the LEGO Store in London, where he symbolically worked there for a short time and signed various LEGO products alongside fans.
That’s exactly why I could really see LEGO entering into a larger collaboration with him at some point.

Which other artists might be possible?
Of course, there are many other musicians who, in theory, could be considered.
Whether they’re artists from the early 2000s, current global stars, or up-and-coming newcomers—there are plenty of opportunities.
However, I believe that LEGO will focus primarily on internationally renowned artists. On the other hand, I think it’s rather unlikely that they’ll feature regional musicians who are mainly successful in German-speaking countries.
My Conclusion
I actually find the new LEGO Editions series very exciting.
It offers LEGO an incredible number of opportunities to explore a wide variety of themes in the future. In addition to music, for example, I could also imagine sets based on major sporting events—such as the Olympic Games, American football, handball, or many other international competitions.
The first step has now been taken with Olivia Rodrigo. Of course, it remains to be seen whether this will develop into a full-fledged music series in the long run.
Personally, I would be delighted if LEGO continued down this path and we got to see many more artists as LEGO models in the future.
